The Behavior Lighthouse LLC operates the BxLight mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and share your information.
When you create an account and use BxLight, you provide: account information (name, email, password), child profile information (name, age, diagnoses, communication level, likes, dislikes, triggers, behaviors, goals), behavioral observations logged through Help Now sessions and manual logs, skill trial data, and feedback responses. BxLight does NOT collect audio recordings (voice input is transcribed to text; the audio is never stored), video recordings, payment information, GPS location data, or device contacts.
We use your information to operate and provide BxLight and its features, generate personalized AI-powered strategy suggestions and pattern insights, track Help Now session usage against your plan limit, send app notifications, provide observer access to invited therapists or caregivers, respond to support requests, and improve BxLight's features and accuracy.
BxLight uses the Claude API by Anthropic to generate AI-powered strategy suggestions. Child profile information and behavioral observations are transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy is available at anthropic.com/privacy. BxLight also uses RevenueCat for subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy) and Neon for database storage (neon.tech/privacy).
BxLight is designed exclusively for parents and caregivers aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about minor children entered by parents is used solely to provide personalized support guidance. We never share children's behavioral information with advertisers, use it to build advertising profiles, or sell it to any third party.
We do not sell your personal information or your child's information to any third party. We share information only with service providers who help us operate BxLight (Anthropic, RevenueCat, Neon), with observers you explicitly invite, and as required by law. When you invite a therapist or caregiver as an observer, they receive read-only access to your child's logs, patterns, and skill progress. You can revoke observer access at any time.
We may send marketing emails about BxLight features and updates only with your explicit consent. You may opt out at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email or contacting us at contact@behaviorlight.com.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption of child profile data at rest, secure HTTPS transmission, backend-only processing of AI API calls, and access controls limiting employee access to user data. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. Deleted log entries are soft-deleted and permanently purged within 90 days. Upon account deletion, we permanently delete your personal information and your child's information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
You may access and update your account information and child profiles anytime through the Profile screen. To delete your account and all associated data, contact contact@behaviorlight.com. Premium subscribers may export a PDF summary of their child's data at any time through the Profile screen.
Texas and California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, access their personal information, request correction or deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact contact@behaviorlight.com.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
